R3 Feral Cat Rescue Inc.

Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome.
Because every cat deserves a chance — whether in a loving home or a safe barn.

At R3 Feral Cat Rescue Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, our mission is to protect and improve the lives of community and feral cats through humane rescue, rehabilitation, and responsible rehoming. We believe that compassion and education are key to reducing overpopulation and suffering among outdoor cats in our local neighborhoods. Every life matters, and every cat deserves safety, dignity, and care.

Our work begins with TNRV — Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return — a proven, humane process to manage feral cat populations while promoting community health. After trapping, each cat receives veterinary evaluation, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and identification before being safely returned to their familiar outdoor colony or relocated through our Barn Homing Program. For cats rescued from unsafe environments, our barn placements offer a secure, monitored setting where they can live freely while helping control rodent populations — a win-win for both cats and caretakers.

Those cats and kittens who show potential for socialization or have been abandoned from domestic situations receive additional rehabilitation and vetting under our care. Once ready, they are matched with loving adopters through our local adoption program, ensuring they find permanent, responsible homes. Through community partnerships, volunteer efforts, and donations, R3 Feral Cat Rescue Inc. continues to make a difference — one paw at a time.
